Project Description
The Tucson Medical Center Rincon Hospital is a newly constructed 132,000-square-foot, 60-bed hospital designed to deliver comprehensive healthcare services to the Tucson community. The hospital integrates an ambulatory surgery center, urgent care, medical offices, and general care providers into one modern healthcare complex, enhancing patient access to a wide range of medical services which includes surgical suites, telemetry units, and maternity services.
Sun Mechanical performed all plumbing and mechanical work for the facility, including the installation of medical gas and specialty piping systems required for hospital operations. The mechanical systems incorporate heating and chilled water systems supplied by a central plant, providing efficient temperature and humidity control that is essential for hospital operations. The project was 100% BIM coordinated, ensuring seamless integration of all MEP systems and minimizing conflicts.
