The project consisted of a complete renovation to buildings J & H along with new additions to both wings. All mechanical and plumbing systems in the existing footprint were removed and replaced with new systems to serve new classrooms, skills/teaching labs, and community/common areas in support of the Center of Excellence in Health Professions disciplines.
The HVAC system was a variable air volume (VAV) system utilizing chilled water to serve air handling unit coils for space cooling. Terminal units utilized hot water reheat coils for added comfort control to individual zones. Specialty plumbing systems included medical air, oxygen, and vacuum used to serve the teaching labs as well as deionized water for sterilization and disinfection processes.
